PouLance Metrics ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website poulancemetrics.com and the PouLance Metrics Google Business Profile connector for Looker Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Email address when you create an account
• Name and profile information
• Payment information processed securely by our payment provider, Paddle (we do not store your card details)
• Communications you send to us

2.2 Google Account Data

When you connect your Google Business Profile account, we access the following data:

• Your Google account email address and basic profile name (userinfo.email, userinfo.profile)
• OAuth access and refresh tokens, used to read your Business Profile data
• Business Profile location information: business name, address, category, phone number, and website
• Performance metrics: impressions on Google Search and Maps, calls, website clicks, and direction requests
• Monthly search keyword impressions (the search terms that showed your business)
• Reviews (ratings, review text, and owner replies) and Google Posts for the locations you select

We store your Google account email, name, OAuth tokens, and location information so the connector can work. Performance metrics, search keywords, reviews, and posts are retrieved from Google when your Looker Studio report requests them and are passed to that report. We do not store them in our database.

We only request the minimum permissions necessary to provide our service. We use the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage scope to read your location information, performance metrics, search keywords, reviews, and posts for display in Looker Studio. We use the userinfo.email and userinfo.profile scopes to identify your account. We do not modify, post, reply to, or delete anything on your Business Profile.

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use our service including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, time spent, and connector usage logs. This data is used for security monitoring and service improvement.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain our service
• Fetch and display your Google Business Profile data in Looker Studio
• Process your subscription payments
• Send you service-related communications
• Respond to your support requests
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve our service
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized use
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Google API Data Usage

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

• We only use Google data to provide the PouLance Metrics connector service
• We do not sell your Google data to third parties
• We do not use Google data for advertising purposes
• We do not use Google data to develop, train or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not send it to any third-party AI service. The insights in our product are produced by fixed rules, not AI
• We do not allow humans to read your Google data except for security purposes or with your explicit consent
• Your Google OAuth tokens are stored in an access-controlled database with encryption at rest provided by our database host
• You can revoke our access at any time through your Google Account settings, or by emailing privacy@poulancemetrics.com to ask us to delete your data

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
• OAuth tokens are stored in an access-controlled database with encryption at rest provided by our database host (Supabase)
• Our backend runs on Google Cloud (Cloud Run) and our database is hosted by Supabase
• We regularly review and update our security practices

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating our service (Supabase for database, Paddle as our payment provider and merchant of record for billing)
• When required by law or to respond to legal process
• To protect the rights and safety of PouLance Metrics and our users
• With your explicit consent

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our service. Usage logs are retained for a limited period and deleted periodically. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Revoke Google OAuth access at any time
